Our Policies 

For Hockey Camps

What to bring on the day:

  • Hockey stick

  • Gum shield

  • Shin pads

  • Plenty of snacks and lunch (there are no facilities to purchase food and drink at the site)

  • Plenty of water / liquids to last the whole day

  • Cap / sun hat / Sun screen

  • We have a strict NO nuts policy

Please note there is no shelter at OSL so please check the weather forecast.

We are not providing hand sanitiser at the site.  However, there are hand washing facilities in the on site toilets

Use of toilets

We have a site manager who will ensure that the toilet facilities are cleaned and disinfected.  We kindly ask that your child:

  • Informs the site manager when they use the toilet

  • Flushes the toilet after use

  • Washes their hands after use

​

The site manager will sanitise / clean the toilet after each use including toilet handles

​

Please arrive at 08:45 for camp registration.  

Please can parents arrive promptly at 15:00 to ensure we have time to clean the site before club use. 
 

Before the session:

  • Please do not come to the ground if you have a raised temperature, are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, are self-isolating or living with individuals that are self-isolating.  Please email us as soon as possible, unfortunately you and your child will not be allowed to part take in the session. You will receive a re-fund within 2 weeks of notification.

When attending 1-2-1 Coaching:

  • Please bring to the session; hockey stick, gumshield, shin pads and water.

  • Only travel to the grounds if you have a confirmed booking.

  • There will be a 15-minute transition period between the sessions.  Please do not arrive at the ground more than 15 minutes before the session is due to start. Once the session has finished please leave as quickly as possible.

  • All players taking part in a 1-2-1 session must have a parent stay throughout the session in the spectator area.

  • No dogs will be allowed on site during this time.

  • Please maintain social distancing at all times during the session and when spectating.

  • Please note the toilets and water tap will not be available during the session.  Please bring a full bottle of water to the session.

During the session:

  • Please do not touch the balls or equipment with your hands.

  • Please refrain from bringing lots of equipment so we can reduce the chance of contamination by touching the gate and fences but please do bring hockey stick, gum shield and shin pads to the 1-2-1,

  • Step Change coaching equipment will be disinfected by the coaches between sessions.

  • The pitch will be split into quarters on arrival you will be told your pitch area.  Please go straight to that zone.

  • First Aid bags will be available and there will be a first aid trained coach at the sessions, however the first aider will not administer the first aid we will instruct the parent or guardian on how to do this.   

After the Session:

  • If you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 after the session, please do inform us so that we can do the necessary contact tracing.  Neither Step Change Coaching, coaches or Epsom Hockey club can be held liable if you or your child develops COVID-19 following a 1-2-1 coaching session.

  • Once the session has finished please leave as quickly as possible.

If these guidelines are not adhered to you will be asked to leave the session by the coach.

 

These are difficult times please work with us to keep everybody safe and playing as much hockey as possible.
